Sally Field vs Patty Duke - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I was watching one of Sally Field's bios on VHS lol, and I head that PD was going to be the main pick if sally turned down the part as Sr Bertrille. I don't know if this is true

I've only heard Sally say that they would have picked some on else. I don't think Patty would have done a good job as TFN, Sally was just so cute as lil bertrille. I like PD but I just don't see her as TFN.

I liked Sally the best also, she did a great job in both The Flying Nun & Gidget.
She also played Clemintine on Alias Smith & Jones. She was on it several
different times.

I couldn't picture anyone else as the flying nun.
