I use to watch this show back in late 80s on nick-at-night also watched Mr ED. I ran across a opening theme on you tube and fell in love with PD again.See I had this school boy crush on Patty when I was younger. Well I hope the DVDs come out soon. They just don't make shows like these any more
P.S. still love Sally though

Nice to see another Sally Field fan! I watched Patty Duke on Nick at Nite too. It was my favorite show, after Donna Reed. I remember this one time they had a promo where they talked to the back of Cathy's or Patty's head. Sounds weird, but it was cool. They also showed the show tinted in green for St. Patrick's Day once. It's sad they aren't as creative now. I would buy this show on DVD in a minute!

It really is a shame that after all this time, this show still isn't available on dvd. I would also buy it in a minute.

The Miracle Worker (1962) : Patty Duke as Helen Keller and Anne Bancroft as Annie Sullivan. You can catch it on Turner Classic Movies on Mar. 19th and 30th. It's also available on DVD. There is also a 1979 television version (same title) in which Patty stars as Annie Sullivan and Melissa Gilbert stars as Helen Keller. Robert 13, I remember tvshowsondvd.com reporting that the show was coming out on DVD, but that was a couple years ago. I wonder what happened.

I didn't either. I don't think they do now. But I think it went that far back that it must have been lost during a re-vamp or something because I swear it was on there and I did a search that came up empty. I would have thought it was my imagination but you remembered it too.

I faithfully watched and loved Patty Duke from 1963 until the end. They ran a commercial for the show back then that we kids loved. It showed clips from the show. Most memorable was Patty asking her little brother Ross for a favor. He replied "FGI." "FGI?" she asked. "Forget It." answered Ross. We thought that was so cool; from then on everything was "FGI." We drove our Mom crazy!
