Gee, how much retouching did they do to this photo? The exception being of course Wolfgang.

I think Eddie, Alex and Dave look great. I think that Ed looks a whole lot better then he did earlier this year. I think that the guys look a lot better then quite a few bands that are younger (REM, for example).

I'm getting really excited about the tour this summer. I just wish Mike would be there.

I'm assuming that since Michael Anthony has been touring with Sammy that Eddy is pissed at him and won't let him back in the group. Would that be pretty much the story??

Yeah, I was wondering where he was. I guess Wolfgang replaced him.

That is EXACTLY why Mikey is out. Eddie's just a head case and has his head up his drunk ass!!

Even before Mikey started touring with Sammy, the bros had been ****ting on him. They had stripped him of his percentage and partnership in the band, making him feel guilty for getting a "free ride." Bull****!!

I will not endorse this new incarnation of "Van Halen." F**k Eddie!

Oh No Report: VAN HALEN tour 'postponed indefinitely' - Feb. 20, 2007

According to Pollstar.com, the VAN HALEN tour that was never officially announced is now officially postponed indefinitely. The rumored tour took on an air of reality after a trade magazine announced that original singer David Lee Roth was about to sign on the dotted line, and that was soon followed by a press release via Eddie Van Halen's spokeswoman-slash-girlfriend. Unfortunately, the worldwide frenzy of a VH reunion was too good to be true, at least for the present day. However, there was a lot of paper getting inked and Pollstar states that a tour announcement might not have been far off.

Sources also tell Denver's Rocky Mountain News that VAN HALEN's performance at next month's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony may also be in jeopardy too.

A few days ago, RollingStone.com uploaded the first official photo of the new VAN HALEN lineup, featuring the group's new bassist Wolfgang Van Halen (son of VAN HALEN guitarist Eddie Van Halen). Check it out at this location.

In an exclusive interview with RollingStone.com, VAN HALEN singer David Lee Roth stated about his first post-reunion jam with Eddie, "Eddie and I wrote the songs, every note, every syllable, as if we invented a language that only we can speak. It was an easy, natural thing… When you speak a language that you both created, it's natural to go, 'I know you.' So it was very easy. There wasn't any stumble at all. I just showed up, and twenty minutes later, it was the usual, 'How's the wife, how's the kids, let's play.' When you're born to do that language, you speak it naturally. I never forgot it."

On how rehearsals are going, Roth said, "The chemistry is combustible. There's an explosive sound there that is, I think, perhaps… unless you were there, which most folks weren't, than you may have forgotten. This is really sophisticated, smart stuff. Everybody's at the top of their game in terms of… it's not just intangible things. My voice is arguably better than it was when I left the band back when. I love what I do, perhaps for some different reasons now than I did, more so than I did. It's a privilege to do what I do for a living."

VAN HALEN will be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame on March 12 at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City.

I'm really confused now. If the tour was never officially announced why is there an official press release on the official Van Halen webpage with a quote from Eddie?

I can't say that I'm too surprised though. This is just the latest chapter in the continuing soap opera that Van Halen has become over the last decade. It is a shame because they were such a great band bwtween 1978 and 1996.

Sammy and Mike are probably laughing their butts off over the the entire thing.

Yeah, it's been just announced on MTV.com that the tour is not going to happen. I found the earlier report on Blabbermouth.net. So it's really no surprise, given the band's sucky track record as of lately.

I'd say the bad mojo from firing Mikey is coming back to bite Eddie on his ass. Good!

I think Van Halen should finally call it quits once and for all.

Between all the linup changes, feuds, and promises of reunions, maybe it's best if they just give up.

I'm afraid that I have to agree with you on this. Ever since Sammy either quit or was fired back in 1996, Van Halen has become nothing but a soap opera. There was that terrible album with Gary Cherone (and the tour to support it wasn't any better), the reunion with Sammy in 2004 (which could have been great if Eddie hadn't been drunk everynight) and all the attempted reunions with Dave.

As much as I was looking forward to seeing the reunion this summer, I was equally weary of it. Roth hasn't played rock music in over a decade and the last time he performed live (not counting the Sam and Dave tour in 2002) was that lame Vegas stint in the mid-1980's. Then there is Wolfgang. He's only been playing bass for a couple of months but his father and uncle want to take him out on a world tour? I think the whole reunion would have been a train crash.

What a mess. It says something when the Rolling Stones have their act together (and are older) and EVH is acting like a crybaby.

A teenage kid on a world tour with these geezers?? He should be home with Valerie!!
