I think so! I love it! I hope the board get's even bigger and bigger. Maybe Growing Pains will get a bunch of new fans from all the Nick@Nite exposure....I used to come here often when it was on ABCFAMILY. But since it left there in 2004 or so, the board became a little more quiet. I'm happy to see it's back in full swing!

yes, same again Buffyboy... i too was more active on this specific board when the show came on ABC Family (and a little when it was on Disney too) but when it got dropped, i basically fell off of the board too... but i had been watching my dvd and old tapes form ABC Family lately and then over my christmas break back home i saw the commercial on Nick at Nite and i literally jumped out of bed (at like 1 in the morning) and turned my computer back on to check this board out and see if what i saw was true or if i dreamed it (being so late at night, i really could have been just dreaming) and since that night i've been checking out the boards every day! I forgot about how much i loved the show... and then when somebody posted that website with the free episodes, i got re-hooked again and i fully intent to tape all of the episodes off of NaN so that i have more to watch if the show gets cancelled (i am being an optomistic person about this one!
) So yea, definately glad to see the board is active again too!

^ I think I'm going to record Seasons 2-7 as well. I really want them to be released on DVD though.

I just hope that Nick@Nite doesn't cut a lot of scenes and doesn't air eps out of order. If the show gets good ratings maybe they'd consider releasing the rest of the DVDs.
And yes, the board is active again. I'm glad for that. |

well, becuase it's on a more popular channel, it might bring in the younger generation that had never seen the show before, they'll fall in love with it and buy the dvd sets, if sales all of a sudden boom, maybe we'll see another season set!

This is the first time in about four years that it's been in heavy syndication. It did well it's first few years (TBS and local tv), then disappeared for about five years til Disney ran it from 97-2000. It vanishes again til like 2002 and stays on a year at ABC Family, but with the Season 1 dvd release last year, eps for download on AOL, and now it getting huge exposure on Nick, interest is drummed up.
That is, until, inevitably, Nick replaces it with either Roseanne, Full House, or Fresh Prince. Which is why, much like the poster above, I'm DVRing every ep for dvd transfer so I'll have my Seavers on the shelf and not worry about syndication or DVDs. |
