...is it really possible to shoot someone in the head, and they wouldn't know it?
I know someone can be shot in the chest and they wouldn't have any effects until an hour or two later. That can happen if the bullet doesn't go all the way into the chest. |

You don't have any nerves in your brain, so it is possible that you could be shot without there being any immediate affects, depending on what part of the brain the bullet goes through. I remember a case in which a boy had an arrow shot through his head without any permanent damage, as well, the infamous Phineas Gage who had a railway tie blasted through his skull. I'd have to look them up to be sure, but I think that it may be possible, though not probable.
PS I'm not a doctor, I'm just repeating what I've learned in my science, psych, and anatomy classes. Hope this helps!
