'Idol' Star Separates From Wife
When Bucky Covington heads to the Grand Ole Opry in March, he'll be going solo.
The "American Idol" season five ejectee and his wife Crystal have separated, report news sources. They have no children. "This is a difficult time for both of us and I would ask that everyone respect our privacy," says Covington in a statement issued through his record company, Lyric Street Records. Crystal, a nurse, cheered Covington on last year before he was booted from the reality show talent competition, finishing in eighth place. The 29-year-old Rockingham, North Carolina country boy moved to Nashville to pursue his music career. He released his first single, "A Different World," in January and will drop his self-titled debut album on April 17. On March 9, he'll make his Grand Ole Opry debut. |
