Default THE HONEYMOON episode

I watched the airing on ME-TV Chicago, and the episode ended exactly the same as on the DVD. Fill in squares followed by the closing credits. So if there originally was a tag sequence for this episode, we apparently won't be seeing it anymore. It's possible that they just made this episode without a tag scene at the end, the same may be true for GREG GETS GROUNDED.

There is a tag in "Greg Get's Grounded", but there NEVER was a tag for the honeymoon. It was made that way on purpose.

Lee,

Is ME-TV showing true uncut Brady Bunch episodes? Such as:

The extended scenes of Jan and Cindy looking for Marcia in Father of the Year?

Greg simulating a driving test in the kitchen for Alice in the beginning of "The Wheeler Dealer."

Peter and Bobby selling tickets door to door in the "The Show Must Go On?"

Cindy and Bobby pleading with Alice to go skinny-dipping in the neighbor's pool in "Goodbye Alice, Hello."

All of these scenes have been cut since the first syndicated run or close to it. If ME-TV is showing true uncut Brady Bunch, Paramount would have to authorize it. There is an uncut or damn close to uncut version of "Our Son The Man" floating around in syndication that seems to be taken from an old Paramount or Columbia House video print.

If ME-TV is showing uncut Brady Bunch episodes, they would certainly have to pay a royalty fee to Paramount for them to release the footage, much of which has to come from back-up prints as some of the original negatives are either lost or no longer exist.

What is the tag for GREG GETS GROUNDED? On the DVD from Paramount, the episode ends with the fill in squares. Is there a tag scene after the squares that was omitted from the DVD?

Jack,

To be honest, since I have the Paramount DVD's I don't watch The Brady Bunch much on ME-TV. I watched their airing of THE HONEYMOON a few weeks ago because I was curious about the ending of the episode. From what I have seen on ME-TV, I don't think they're always perfect but they seem to have a pretty good track record regarding uncut episodes of most programs. They have been showing Burns & Allen, and those episodes look like they are cut. Regarding the Brady Bunch, it seems that ME-TV airings have currently been reduced to just a couple episodes on Sundays.

Correction from above: Bobby and Cindy wanting to swim naked in the pool (a since cut TV Land/syndicated scene from "Goodbye, Alice Hello") WAS actually included in syndicated prints and TBS airings up until about 1986. It was than dropped and was not re-inserted back in when TV Land acquired their own edits of the show. According to www.bradyworld.com some years ago, an Australain viewer reported this scene to still be intact on the syndicated showings in that country. But otherwise, afaik, the only place where you can see that scene now is on the DVD.

Another possible mistake is in "To Move or Not To Move." The ghostly sounds Carol and Mike hear in the tag are almost gone from the dvd. You have to turn it up really loud to even hear something. It's not like this in syndication.
