I have a question about "Remington Steele" and "Moonlighting", two '80's series that I have thought about getting on DVD:
Are either or both of these series too graphically sexy? In other words, do either or both of these series have any very overt sex in them? I will appreciate any advice. |

Moonlighting was my favorite show of the 80s and I really didn't like TV by that point. Just such a great, well written series.

Remington Steele is warm and fun. I found ML to be cold and hammy. I Netflixed it to see Bruce but ended up liking the blonde and thinking Bruce was a blow hard; hated it. On the other hand I Netflixed disc one of RS and bought all five seasons; in fact I just finished the series tonight.
Try Netflix. |

One other thing that I'd like to know-- is "Moonlighting" a single-sided release? I know that "Remington Steele" is very likely a double-sided release, based on that it is from MTM and also that FOX Home Entertainment releases MTM series on disc.

I love Both Shows... Remington Steele is more your murder/mystery show though. Moonlighting starts off as such but turns more into a romantic comedy before to long. I would say stay away from Moonlighting Season 4 and 5. They are terrible. Remington Season 5 is also terrible. But the rest of the seasons of both shows are must own gems.

Remington Steele isn't overly sexy at all - you'll never catch them waking up in bed together.
Why not buy a season of each. I'm a big time Remington Steele fan and the double discs are fine really... they make for less shelf space too... ha ha! Go on buy both... splash the cash! I highly recommend either season 2 or 3 or Remington as they have Mildred Krebbs in for that added comedy! |

On a side note, Moonlighting definitely has it origins in Remington Steele. Prior to creating ML, Glenn Gordon Caron had been a supervising producer and writer on RS.

I've got season 1-3 of ML, watched the show when it was first on. Lent one of the sets to a coworker (season 3). He was a little young when it was first on, so he never really saw it...I think he's hooked now
Now he wants to see the first 2 seasons.
