Female handwriting??!?

I can't remember exactly which case it was mentioned in but wasn't there a case where something was written and the police (maybe handwriting expert) says it was written by a female. Apart from MAYBE that big girly writing I did wonder at the time how exactly that could be determined?!?!? Anyone know what I'm talkin about? There is also the possibility my minds gone crazy and got confused with another show....it's 3am here n time to watch the back of my eyelids.

Sounds like the Roger Dean murder/extortion case. The extortion letters were written on a type writer and were very lengthy. The police seemed to think the letters were created by a male and a female in collaboration. I always wondered how they could tell. Maybe sentence structure, or choice of words? Who knows. There are profilers who could tell a lot about you by how you hold your dinner fork, so I don't find it surprising that they could pick out such details from a letter.

From what I've read, you can tell by word choice, sentence structure, and things like paper/envelope/ink choice. There may have also been a trace scent.

Interesting! I've never thought about those things as indicators of gender in letter writing.

Thanks for your reply but I don't think it's the Roger Dean case I was thinking about with the handwriting thing, I'm almost certain it was written by hand that's why I wondered how they could come to that conclusion. Any other cases you can think of like this? My minds now going to go nutz untill I find which case it is!!
