Default When you turn on your TV and there is a skinny line going across the middle, does

that mean the TV is Finished??? I cannot believe this sH*T, i am actually about to have a nervous breakdown

The other TV i have, which has been with me since I was 12 and I'm 31 now and that picture Tube never went out-lol The brand of the TV is SanSui and I just bought 5 years ago so it's probably the sh*TTy brand. When I walked in the room I smelled BURNT RUBBER and could not figure out what the hell the smell and then discovered it was from of TV

The flat thin TVs are LCD, which means they don't have a picture tube. Picture Tubes are on their way out.

Did you see the episode of Becker where his decades old console tv goes, and he brings the picture tube to a tv store, and the clerk had no clue what the tube even was? It was funny.

YES! That is one of my all time favorite episodes! I have it on tape somewhere.
Funny thing is when that episode aired for the first time, I was still watching my console TV from the 80's. That was the best TV I ever had. They don't make them like that now.
