Benicio Del Toro Set for 'Wolfman' Remake - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Benicio Del Toro's remake of the Universal classic "The Wolfman" has landed Mark Romanek to direct.

A fall production start is expected for the Andrew Kevin Walker-scripted update of the 1941 Lon Chaney Jr. vehicle. Scott Stuber and Mary Parent are producing for Universal, with Del Toro and Rick Yorn also producing.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the script maintains the period setting of the original, which finds a man returning to his homeland of Victorian England, where he gets bitten by a wolf and undergoes some unfortunate changes every full moon.

Romanek's feature credits are limited to the creepy Robin Williams vehicle "One Hour Photo," but his music video accomplishments are myriad. Obvious highlights include Johnny Cash's "Hurt," Jay-Z's "99 Problems," Madonna's "Rain" and Michael and Janet Jackson's "Scream."

This is plain idiotic now, what idiots!! Who wants to see more crappy CGI effects. No one, I repeat NO ONE will ever equal the original Wolfman that starred Lon Chaney Jr.

I agree with that. There was something very special about those classic Universal horror movies.

We've also seen people transforming into werewolves already like, Wolf-Jack Nicholson, Van Helsing, and Dracula. BORING!!
