Default need Bill S help

Hi Bill,
I'm still confused about lost episodes. I will try to make this as clear as I can.
OK here goes. I have a 12 tape set of lost episodes and the tapes are labled 29 thru 39. I assumed this meant volumes 29-39 with 2 episodes per tape. Then I saw the dvd sets like the ones on the top of the page. They have volumes 1 thru 24. They also have all the episodes that are on my 12 tape set. Reel . com lists volumes 1 thru 39. I am sooooo confused Is the dvd set all the lost episodes out there or are there more? I am trying to collect as many as I can because I have not seen alot of them. I'm sorry to be P.I.T.A. Thanks for any help.

Bill, which 2 episodes are missing from the dvd set. I didn't know this, so I will have to get them. If you have to do a buncha research, then don't worry I'll find it.
Thanks Pal O' Mine

The two episodes missing from the DVD set are "What's The Name" (the musical remake of "What's Her Name") and the 1957 version of "Manager Of The Baseball Team," both of which were mistaken for their original versions on the VHS releases, but then corrected later on. The remake of "Halloween Party" is another one that was mistaken for it's original version, but still has yet to be released.

From what I recall, the easiest way to tell the difference in "Manager of the Baseball Team", is the way the door opens when Norton comes in at the beginning. I don't recall which is which, but the door opens from a different side each time.

In the 1957 version the door knob is on the left hand side, as it was in all remaining and future episodes starting with classic ep #1 in 1955

Also, in the 1957 version, Ralph offers Norton an Old Gold cigarette instead of a cigar (which he offers him in the original version).

The dvd set I just got has "What's The Name" "Halloween Party" and one that is called "Manager Of A Baseball Team" So I guess I have all the episodes except the 27 you spoke about.

Thanks again for all your help.

My VHS copies from MPI of "Manager of the Baseball Team" are both the original skits. The 1957 is listed on the box, but it's the 1953 version because Ralph offers Ed a cigar, not Old Gold cigarettes (who were the sponsors of the Gleason show that season).

Not that I care of not, just being curious, but do they still make Old Gold Cigarettes? For that matter, do they still make Lucky Strike?

I thought I saw Lucky Strike for sale not too long ago at a local drug store (how ironic!) but Old Gold, I have no idea.

I don't know what color the box is, it's boxed away waiting to get moved and unpacked. Once it is I could tell you, but off the top of my head I'll say maybe black????
