Default Name the Black Show that you feel is not as watchable as The Cosby Show?

The One Black Show I would say the Cosby Show has the slight edge over is Family matters, since you never had to worry about a GEEK storming through the door like on Family Matters. The Cosby Show didn;t really have any BUFOONS characters like all the other Black Shows but it was still not as watchable as the other Black shows in the 72-85 era. But Yes, Family matters is the one show that the Cosby Show is more watchable than

For me, the Cosby show has the edge over Sister, Sister. I didn't think Sister, Sister was funny and Jackee and Tim Reid didn't have any chemistry.

Great choices, I enjoyed watching Family Matters, but only for the first three seasons and Sister, Sister..I never got into that show, by that time I was almost out of high school and found it a little middle school-ish. I found it stupid that they got upset when they found out that their real father was white..

There are a bunch but one comes to mind... MOESHA! Good grief, that show was okay for the first season but somehow the show became "As The World Turns".. every damn episode was a 'powerful Moesha', 'A very special Moesha', 'An moving, touching, overdramatic Moesha'. And give me a break, someone must have owned Brandy and her mother a favor to put that non singing, non acting child on T.V. I know beauty is only skin deep but EVERY cute guy after Moesha and not Niecy who looked better than her? Only in Brandy's fantasy world.

Let's talk about the way she talked back to her father and stepmother... Hell to the no, if that was me.. I would have been holding an ice pack on my mouth. Moesha was too grown and too stupid(yeah, so grown but always gets caught) for her own good!

I don't know I didn't this in my thread but please EXCLUDE all UPN shows because we all know none of those shows are not worth watching. So just name the Black shows that aired on Major Networks like

My Wife and Kids
Hangin With Mr. Cooper
Fresh Prince
Family Matters

I don't think that The Jeffersons or What's Happening are as watchable. I love The Cosby Show and Family Matters.

Hangin with Mr. Cooper was bad, real bad. Family Matters was nothing but garbage and A Different World got on my nerves after a while too.

I liked Family Matters when it was originally on. When ever I run across it on tv now however, I just can't get watch more than a minute of it before I change the channel. I just don't find it that funny, but I can and still do enjoy reruns of the Cosby Show.

I like the Cosby Show. As for not that good, I liked "That's My Mama" as a kid, but not funny now that i bought the dvd.

In that case, I'll go with Cosby show having an edge over Hangin With Mr. Cooper. That show was kind of goofy and not that funny. The early shows were slightly better than the later ones, but not to watch over and over again.

With the title of the show "That's My Mama", you actually thought that you were in for a treat?! You were fooled!
