Default I was a little surprised at Fred getting mad when the comedian on stage made fun of

him. They were waiting for the Three Degrees to come out on stage and had to watch some amatuer guy tell jokes. So Fred said something insulting to him and then the guy on stage said-"How would you like it if I came down to the old folks home and knocked over your checker old man?" And then Fred said-"How would you like if I came up there and gave you 5 of these across the lips?" But why would Fred get made at that comment when he know he didn;t live in a OLD FOLKS HOME?-lol I liked Leroy's comment to the young guy on stage a lot better, "This isn;t comedy, It is TRADEGY"-lol

My guess is the inference that Fred actually COULD be living in an old folks home is what ticked him off. Although, I suspect the reason Fred got so mad is much shallower than that----they probably just wanted Fred to be as disruptive as possible. No rhyme or reason.

yeah you know george jefferson would have been all over that.
But you know Fred is quick to throw up the old fists and want to fight so you should not even be suprised and if the guy even even acted like he wanted to fight back he would have THE BIG ONE. LOL

...all it means is that the writers were willing to give the comedian one joke to put the old guys in thier place! The funniest lines (imo) were when Leroy and Skillet got into it....(those of you who have only seen TV Land version didn't see that whole part, because they cut it!)...and who cares what George Jefferson would have said!

Fred's whole attitude was to not like it anytime that others said anything to him. Most of what was going on was Fred wasn't supposed to come to see the 3 degrees anyway. He and his friends were obviously drinking before they got there and really were giving the whole night club fits. It was a funny scene and the comedian got away with one with Fred.
