I had the TV on as i was getting ready for work this morning and i thought i'd heard the voice before.
i found it was an episodeof the beverly hillbillies and there were three college protesters (looked like hippies) when the end credits came on it said the girl hippy (Jethro thought they were all guys lol) thegirl hippy was Bonnie Boland who played Mable the mail lady on the 1st season of CATM!! i love it when i see charecters from the show on other shows does anyone know what else she's been on? |

I always hated Mabel's character! I guess her role called for an annoying type person so she nailed it right on the head! Good actress!

I know Mabel was different. I had to admire the fact that she seemed very secure with herself.... even tho she certainly didn't fit the definition of a beauty. You have to love a person who doesn't seem to need to fit preconceived notions of women, and back in the 70's that was refreshing.... I think she and Chico could be friends under those conditions. They seem to have a comfortable relationship with each other. Bonnie Boland was a great commediane in her own right. She pulled off Mabel very well. Mabel didn't need to be Chico's girlfriend to be Chico's friend. Right On! LOL
