Fast Times At Ridgemont High is one of the great teen movies of the 1980's. I can always identify with Rat. Like when he is in the car with Stacy and his idea of romantic music is "Kashmir" by Led Zeppelin.
At that age I made mistakes like that all the time. That is why I am 30 years old and not married. ![]() And the scenes between Jeff and Mr. Hand are classic.

I love how he actually came to Jeff's house to teach American history. If a teacher had ever showed up at my house I would have been totally freaked out.

I still watch this movie over and over, it's arguably the greates teen movie of all time. I really liked how Mike Damone thought he was so Sauve and how he was a mentor to Rat. However, the pool house scene with Stacy really exposed him. Jeff Spicoli has to be one of the greatest movie characters of all time. There would be no Bill and Ted or Beavis and Butthead if it weren't for Spicoli. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6KuDN95sik
I was so like Brad Hamilton in High School. Mike Damone: Look at you: member of the honor roll, assistant to the assistant manager of the movie theater. I'm tellin' ya, Rat, if this girl can't smell your qualifications, then who needs her, right? Mike Damone: I can see it all now, this is gonna be just like last summer. You fell in love with that girl at the Fotomat, you bought forty dollars worth of film, and you never even talked to her. You don't even own a camera. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6KuDN95sik Awesome Movie and Soundtrack! |

This was a great movie. I wouldn't have minded having Mr. Hand as a teacher either.
