I hate to say this, but once Jerry Orbach left the show and then passed away, the heart and soul was sucked right out of the program. The writing seems to have declined. It seems like each episode is the same as the last these days. Now that it's in a thankless Friday night timeslot, do you think the original will keep on or will NBC close the curtains?
