I am so happy I found this board! I have loved Unsolved Mysteries for years. In fact, my husband thinks I am nuts because I still watch it and talk about it all the time! I can't wait to show him that I am not the only one!
I look forward to chatting with all of you. |

I am LOVING all these new members recently! I can't wait to hear all your thoughts on the different segments UM has to offer, as I'm sure everyone on the board is getting tired of my opinions... it's always nice to hear from someone new.

CRicci, I think you offer a fair and balanced take on cases and you are for the most part quite good, even when I dont agree with you, you do offer unique and interesting takes on cases. I hope the new members can generate some interesting takes and just generate discussion again in some of these areas. It is always good to hear new takes on cases. As a prosecutor CRicci you can take some tips of how not to handle a case from the guy prosecuting the Steve Avery case in Wisconsin, specifically Calumet county, Wisconsin that gets underway tomorrow. That guy has taken a slam dunk case seemingly and botched it some to where he may have created enough doubt that Avery will get off even though most people think he did it. Pretty interesting.

OMG. I hear you on that one! As a "junior" prosecutor, it KILLS me how many prosecutors can get so caught up in the fact that the case is a "slam-dunk" and then follow it up with really shoddy work, which a skilled public defender can then turn into reasonable doubt before a jury.
Luckily, the prosecutor who is my direct supervisor is NOT like that at all. Her motto is that you can never be too prepared. She has trained us to expect EVERYTHING in the courtroom. |
