A couple of ranchers buy a small ranch in the Texas Hills. From the first night, the men claim to hear very loud crashing noises throughout the house. Sometimes, the noises and experiences seem to target the ranchers individually. On one occasion, one of the ranchers awoke to find the corner of his bed was dented, as if someone was sitting on it, but he could not see anybody. Another rancher woke with a sore right leg, when he tried to move it, he couldn't. It was as if someone was sitting on his leg, when he moved his other leg as if to kick the person off, his leg became free and the pain went away.
UM hired a parapsychologist to investigate the ranch. He came to the conclusion that the noises were caused by a sudden increase in magnetic fields in the house, which can be attributed to a physical phenomenon called the Palchy Effect (excuse the spelling). This occurs when water seeps between underground slabs of limestone. The reaction causes an electromagnetic field that affects human brains, making people imagine all kinds of experiences. |

AVERMAN, don't leave out your signature finale. We wouldn't good-naturedly needle you about it if we didn't like it and anticipate it.

Did they stay there or did they end up moving out? I seem to recall a movie
called The Entity that was also pretty interesting. |
