Default This was the WORST night I've had in a long time.

Ok, this is going to be a long story but someone needs to listen.

I met this girl on Myspace who went to my school last year but is one year older. We have talked for a few months and I like her a lot. Her friend found out that I liked her and told her, with my permission. Then she said that her friend liked me so I was like ok, maybe something could happen.

Then, the one that I like was acting all weird for no reason, which I posted a thread about a while back.

So I was supposed to go to the movies with some of my best friends tonight. I decided to be nice and ask Kaylee if she wanted to go with me and my friends. She said that maybe my friends could go with her and her friends, who were going to a different movie theater. So I changed my plans last minute and my friends completely understood. My mom said I couldn't go with Kaylee unless I brought one of my close friends. I called them all and they all had other plans. So I showed up at the movies and Kaylee didn't seem overly enthusiastic about me being there. She barely talked to me all night.

So when I got home, I saw she was online on Myspace. As it turns out, she took me off her top friends.

She didn't appreciate the fact that I actually showed up at the movies and had the guts to go even though I didn't know her or her friends in person. She didn't appreciate that I changed all my plans just so I could see her. She did not offer to change her plans for me. I gave up a good time with my friends and she didn't even appreciate any of it.

I am so sick of giving and giving and getting nothing in return.

"I don't love this anymore,"
Turn my back on all my fans...
Who's to think about?
The brighter I shine, the darker my shadows.
And they pull me behind, as I let off the pedal.
Why should I divide what feels so right?
Is this where I want to lay?

This girl sounds completely ungrateful...

Don't worry about her, there are other wonderful girls out there. To me she sounds like a modern day Winnie Cooper.

Oh, I'm really sorry, Michael. If you lived where I am, I'd definitely want to meet up with you. You're so nice.

You could ask this girl if something's bothering her, but if she hasn't got any problems, or no proper reason for not having much to do with you, then try not to bother about her.

She probably doesn't like me as much as I like her (or liked her), but my problem with her isn't that. She didn't seem appreciative at all that I changed my whole plan for her, didn't complain at all that she didn't offer to go to the movie with my friends, and was nice to her.

It does. In a way, Myspace is similar to cigarettes. Both of them ruin lives (one mentally, one physically) but both are extremely addicting and hard to remove from your life.

Myspace ruins lives? In what way?

It seems an okay place at the moment...it's allowed me to have some form of contact with people I know from school, who have gone on to different universities.

Don't let it get you down. People are flaky sometimes. Maybe she was just trying to act cool in front of her friends by keeping you at arms length.

My advice is to leave it alone. Don't contact her. If she wants anything to do with you, she'll come to you. If not, let it go.

Take myspace with a grain of salt. Maybe she only removed you because she wanted to put someone else up there and you were the one she didn't mind removing. Don't take it personally, top 8 means nothing. Mine are the first people who were friends with me. nothing to do with preference.

MySpace ruins lives because it's full of a bunch of fake, self-obsessed people and is just utterly pointless to me. which is why I just deleted mine. but it's ok to keep in touch with old friends...but none of my old friends have a myspace so it doesnt sevre that purpose for me.

So Myspace is like real life. It's no better in the real world, sorry to say.

People generally act the same on Myspace as they do in real life, so it's not that Myspace makes people act self-obsessed or fake. But I think that people have the guts to say things online that they would never say in real life, if that is what Joe meant when he said people on there are fake.
