Subjects you struggled with in school? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I'm in 10th grade and I've pretty much struggled at all math except Algebra I. So far I'm struggling with Biology. Pretty much all the things that have to do with math. I'm an english/history guy.

I consistently got Cs in Maths and Science. I was good at some parts and not so good at others. I wasn't very good at P.E. either. My best subjects were English, History, Drama and R.E.

Hands down, math. I hate math. I struggled from 7th from all the way through 12th. I never got above a C in math. In 8th and 11th grade I had two math teachers that weren't dedicated to helping students that were weak in math, so part of that blame goes to them. I excelled in english and history myself.

Science. I almost failed seventh grade science (life science), which sucked.

And I just baaaaaaaaaaaaaarely passed biology in 10th grade.

The same is holding true in college -- I have attempted Concepts of Biology once (spring semester 2005) and General Biology twice (fall semester 2005 and 2006) and right now, I'm attempting Botany. Out of these, I only passed the lab portion of General Biology.

Without a doubt, Math! I'm still having such problems with it!

My best subjects are English, languages, and psychology.

Math was definitely my worst subject.

History, English and science were my best. I was in Honors Biology and Chemistry all through high school. I was also in Honor's English. What can I say? I was and probably am a nerd!! LOL!

Like everyone else here, I always had trouble with Math. History and Literature were my good subjects.

Science, I had a C average. It was the hardest class, We had to pair up to do
an experiment making something in a beaker change colors and ours was the
only one that didn't change.

You guys are going to hate me, but I loved math. It was my favorite subject until I got past basic algebra, geometry, and trig. For some reason, I just couldn't handle the more advanced math. Still one of my favorites though. I also loved English and Social Studies.

My worst subject was chemistry. I didn't even attempt physics. Usually, they say if you're great at math, then you'll do great in the science, but it wasn't the case with me. I wasn't all that great at home ec either. I aced the cooking part OK, but flunked the sewing. (Do they still even teach that in school?)

I never struggled with any of my classes, in the sense of grasping the material. If I did struggle at all, or my grades were less than they should've been, it was when I'd start slipping on homework. Once I became dilligent on homework my grades shot up and I made honor roll. It was a question for me of prioritizing. It wasn't until I realized that homework came first, even before TV and other recreations, did I "get it". I only wished that I'd wised up earlier, like in junior high when I was 13 and 14, instead of having to wait until I was 17. As it turned out, I did get to college, graduate and go on to a masters degree, but a questionable transcript up until my junior year made it a bit more difficult to get into college. A higher GPA would've made life easier. At least I learned from the experience.

Bottom line: School subjects weren't difficult; I made them that way due to lack of work and effort on my part. (I also know that there are some teachers, who for whatever reason, suck all the interest and motivation out of a person, so you don't even want to go to class; been there too.)

In 8th grade it was World History. I love history mind you, but the tests would get me every single time.

In high school it was Algebra.

Calculus. Ive been trying to take it for years now. took it three times and dropped out every single time because as soon as I got in there, I was like "I can't do this." this is the ONLY thing keeping me from graduating.
