Do you have trouble staying asleep in the daytime? How many hours of sleep
do you get on average? |

My dad sometimes has a terrible time sleeping during the day. Some days I think he only gets 3 hours of sleep. I have no idea how he works on that. And then on his day off, he ends up staying up all day after getting home from work that morning so that he can sleep that night. I couldn't do that.

I wondered if other people had alot of trouble with this. I sleep 3 or 4 hours
get up for a few hours and then try to sleep again for a few more hours. But I never feel really rested. Does anyone have a good remedy for this? Or is this as good as it gets. |

I've got nothing...

I work seven midnights in a month and thankfully I am able to get a sufficient amount of sleep. I usually sleep from 8 AM to 3 PM and usually do pretty well at work the next night. However, no matter how much sleep you get, you're still groggy. I'm able to get my bedroom really dark, as if it's the middle of night. I also wear ear plugs so the noises outside do not bother me. It seems to do the trick.

I am lucky if i can get 5 hours of sleep a night. I'll go to bed at a reasonable time, but i get panic attacks that literally keep me up for hours! I've started drinking coffee lately, and drinking lots of water, but it's not working...I've finally decided to go to the doctor for some anxiety ideas.

I've tried the earplugs and darkening the room but its like my body knows its
daytime and that I should be up. If I could trick my body & mind into thinking its night I could probably sleep. I may try over the counter sleep-aids. I haven't had any panic attacks, that sounds kind of scarey. Wonder how you get rid of them? |
