Default Who?

In "Catch A Star" when Ralph & Ed hear those girls start screaming Ralph says "Hey maybe Gleasons coming" & Ed says something along the lines of "No it must Eddie Fisher or Elvis Presley" but instead some little bald man walks in & Ed says "Hey maybe that was Elvis Presley the girls just tore all his hair off." The audience starts clapping for the guy so I guess he was someone well known but who was he?

That man was Ray Bloch, Gleason's orchestra leader at the time, who Jackie would introduce each week as "The flower of the musical world!".

And - surprise, surprise - it therefore makes sense that Sammy Spear would be the one mobbed by outside crowds in the color Miami remake "Ralph Kramden Presents."

This might've been the only time he actually appeared in a Honeymooners sketch, but Ray Bloch was mentioned on the show several times. For example, when Ralph & Norton are at the track in "Two Men On A Horse," the man on the loud speaker mentions Ray's name at one point.

I might be wrong but I think I heard Trixie mention his name once too. Something about he worked in the sewer with Ed & then Alice says something along the lines of "Oh I bet now that he's a big star he tries to hide it" <--Not the exact quote. Then Trixie says something about once you work in the sewer there's no way to hide it. ---Can't remember what the episode was...uh now I'll never get any sleep tonight lol.
(((goes to find episode)))

Is it just me or does Ray always end up being the butt of the joke? I know exactly what you're talking about, but I can't think of the episode either.
