This may be way off the mark, but was the sitcom Allo, Allo? a BBC production?

I remember catching this back in 1988 during a trip to Australia and I have caught it a few times over here in the States on our public TV every now and then.

It was one of my favorite shows too.

Any info on it would be appreciated!

Yep, it certainly WAS a BBC show.

I hated it myself!
