Default Some Major Season/Series Finale Info! *SPOILERS*

01/24 - They're dealing with [Melissa McCarthy's pregnancy] by making Sookie pregnant for a third time. David Rosenthal is seriously considering ending the season (or series?) with Lorelai and Luke not only married but expecting a baby. The buzz in Stars Hollow is that the key to an eighth season may rest in Alexis Bledel's petite hands. Unlike Lauren Graham, who appears to be somewhat amenable to the idea of continuing on for another year, Bledel is proving a tougher sell. As a result, Warner Bros. and the CW are allegedly developing a Plan B that would focus an eighth season on Lorelai, Luke and their new baby, with the occasional sweeps-month guest appearance by Rory. yea, i read about that. I don't like the idea of the season ending with Lor and Luke married and prego. The show needs another season to develop that kind of story line

well, from articles I have read, the future of another season for GG is in Alexis Bledel's hands. LAuren has pretty much said she would be willing to do ONE more season, but Alexis is being hesitant. They are "considering" (you know how rumors are!) that if Alexis doesn't agree, they will go on with the last season and focus on Lor/Luke/Baby thing, and have the ocassional guest apperance by Alexis, under the story line that Alexis is off doing journalisim somewhere.

While I love the idea of Luke and Lor finally having the family they were always meant to have, I don't lik ehte idea of them rushing into it, and I don't like the idea of a season without Alexis.

I am really, almost more, interested in how they are going to justify Sookie getting pregant again (failed vasectomy? miracle baby? affair? na) I think it's going to make a GREAT story line. I can't wait to see more screen time for Sookie.

scratch that first paragraph:

"01/25 - You may have heard TV Guide's report that Alexis Bledel (Rory) does not want to continue Gilmore Girls and that the CW is moving forward with the idea of doing the show without her. Well, according to my sources—who are highly placed within the Gilmore family—the plan of a Roryless eighth season has been firmly rejected for one very good reason: Lauren Graham is sticking by her onscreen daughter (you gotta love that) and has made it clear that she will not continue the show without Alexis on board. So... will we get another season? Lauren and Alexis are making the decision as a team. If they both decide to partake in an eighth season, we'll get another year of Gilmore bliss. If not, this will be the final year of the show we so adore. Still, don't start saying your goodbyes just yet. The show's rep at the CW insists the report that Alexis does not want to continue with the show is "really just a rumor... I've never heard that from Alexis' people or any reliable source close to the production." Plus, there's another reason to hold out hope: I'm also told CW president Dawn Ostroff isn't ready to let Lorelai and Rory go—and is prepared to do "whatever it takes" to turn the show around creatively and keep it around another year."

Exactly. I hope they're not going to try to tie up every loose storyline and wrap everything up in the last half of this season.

I really hope the show lasts one more season cause I want to see Luke and Lorelia together again for another season and maybe if Alexis stays Lorelia will get pregnant the last episode. I don't know if I like them making Sookie pregnant again espcially since Lane is pregnant and lukes sister just had babie and now they want to make Lorelia pregnant. That would be 4 similar stories lines that's just a little bit much. But like I said if Alexis stays on maybe Lorelia will get pregnant the last ep so they can focus on that the next season.

01/31 - Shortly after my item ran, a Gilmore insider, confided to me that the engagement/pregnancy plot has been scaled back. "They will not be that far along in a relationship by May," my spy revealed. "There will be progress, but she won't be pregnant or engaged in the season or series finale — as of now." I'm glad that they won't be married/pregnant by the end of the season. That would be moving pretty fast I guess.

I agree, but I do hope they are on that track! AT least exchanging "i love you".... ya know, that's something that gets me. They show Chris and Lor saying "I love you" all the time, but we only heard it once or twice with Luke and Lor... pisses me off.
