By the way, this "It's a Living" is a documentary style show that profiles different people and their professions.

Life is a network that shows "real life" programming here in Canada.

There are two shows with the title It's a Living. The 1980-1982, 1985-1989 sitcom and the documentary show. I think both of these shows have aired on the same Canadian channel, but I'm not sure. I don't live in Canada so when I think of It's a Living, I think of the waitresses, Lois, Jan, Dot, Amy, Ginger, Vicki, Maggie and Cassie working at the Above the Top restaurant in California.
