My least favorire so far is during the 1981-1982 season when Maggie(Lousie Lasser)fixes Jan up with her 22 year old brother. The 81-82 season was the low point of the show. I liked the first season. That season was the classiest. Season 3 is my second favorite. Season 6 is my third favorite.

My least favorite episode is the one from the last season where Sonny's Dad comes to visit him (The Guy who plays Sonny is also playing Sonny's dad too)...It was just dumb!!!

>>That season was the classiest. Season 3 is my second favorite.<<

Check out the first-season reruns sometime -- the waitress wear really low-cut uniforms that they never wore during the syndicated episodes. Part of ABC's "jiggle" strategy maybe?

I like season three a lot, too. It's too bad that it was Ann Jillian's last season. The show wasn't the same after she was gone. I've always wondered why she left the year after the show was brought back. Money had something to do with it, I bet. The pay tends to be lower on shows produced for syndication.

I think Susan Sullivan really brought an air of class to the show in S1; and they had better writing that first year.

I love Louise Lasser in anything so am partial to S2 even though there are a couple episodes that year I think are pretty weak (the one with Sonny's chubby son comes to mind).

The show was never the same after Ann left IMO and I'm not the biggest Crystal Bernard or Sheryl Lee Ralph fan anyway, so S4-6 are my least favorite.

hey, do you have that episode with Sonny's son Arthur? I taped it a while back and then taped over it by accident. I would love to get that ep back.

My favorite quote from the episode is when Sonny leaves Arthur in the ladies' lounge while he gets ready to leave for a date and Maggie says:

"Take some advice from a mother of two; Get in there...get that child before I slap the chin...right off your face!"

I loved that. She kind of reminds me of Mary Hartman when I hear her say that in my mind.

Let me know if you have that ep or someone you might know has it. I have close to 80 eps but am missing some good ones.

Yes I have it, but right now don't know how to convert it from VHS to DVD for you.
