Default Why did Jenny O'Hara leave during the first season?

How many episodes did Jenny O'Hara play in during the first season? Did anyone like Jenny O'Hara?

I myself didn't like her character. An unnecessary filler role.

She was on the first 4 episodes that aired from Aug.-Sept., 1979. When the show came back in Mar., 1980, she wasn't part of the cast.

I wonder why they only aired 4 episodes between August - September 1979. Why did they wait all the way until March 1980 to start airing more episodes? I wonder what was going on between October 1979 - February 1980.

The show was never the same after she left.

Oh, C'mon. Her role was so unnecessary it could be filled by Roger Rabbit and no one would take notice. I was glad she was out of the picture. Very filler.

To me, she was the entire show. The show never regained it's momentum once Jenny left the show. It was just painful to watch after her departure.

She had the hots for Mr. Bradley and the feeling wasn't mutual, so she split.

She had to leave because she got another job playing Scott Scanlon's psycho mother on Beverly Hills 90210. "Scott was David's Bestest Bestest friend."

Hey Guys and gals, Jenny O'Hara, a very good actress, was dumped from FOL early becasue her role was uneccassary, to the extreme. In the FOL "bible" it was stated taht teachers would only be the occasional focus of the show, so there was no place for Ms. Mahoney. Also she didn't seem to interact with the characters very well. Jenny went on to "V" and 90210 so I doubt she's weeping. Personally I liked Mr. Bradley, but his prescense was deemed "uncomfortable by Alan Horn and he was axed. For those who missed Jenny, a similar depature on "Benson" was Caroline McWilliams who played Marcy, she was great, but left, never really to be replaced, though Didi Conn did a good job, till she left, along with pete and the show died rather abruptly. There was nevery any fin to "Benson" At least FOL ended with some promise.. I.e. Blair in charge at Eastland.

An untimely departure was also seen on Happy Days with the Chuck Cunningham character. Those who don't know Chuck Cunningham, he was Richie and Joanie Cunningham's oldest sibling/brother, and he didn't last very long at all.
