Default Looking for updates on old cases...

Does anyone know if the following cases were updated/solved?

From special 1

Don Kemp - was he murdered? I tend to doubt foul play here but the mother seemed very tenacious.

Pat Mealbach - modern DNA testing could substantiate or refute her claims of Dodge lineage.

From special 2

Kyra Cook - did she find the "good Samaritan" who brought her to the police station? did her memory return?

Jacqueline Edmonds, Carol Frances Fullwood, Shantel Lavarro, Anna D'orea - were they apprehended? Edmonds was the subject of secret service investigation apparently.

From special 3

Jack Lutter - this has been debated to death but was he ever brought to justice? Nothing I have found indicates that he was.

Glenn Consagra - again, this has been discussed to death, but why was he released from prison? Was he exonerated? Were the other suspects, "Ted" and "Donna", ever charged for the double homicide?

From special 4

Ailleen Conway - were her killers ever found? was murder ever proved?

Glenn and Bessy Hyde - was the mysterious woman's story verified? Whose bones were found in the boat house?

From special 5

Kurt McFall - was foul play ever proved?

From special 6

the recovered WWII letters - were letters from the following servicemen ever delivered? 4 letters from Private John J. Thomas, 2 letters from Sergent C.F. Smith, and 1 letter from Morris Johnson.

Thanks,
Justin (never afraid to ask the tough questions)

Crystaldawn purchased a book about the Mealbach case where believe it or not she is listed as "Frances Mealbach Manzer" and not as Pat Mealbach as she is on the UM segment (we still have no idea why the alias) but the book came out in the early 90s and as of then Mealbach's claims had not been substantiated and she hadn't recieved any money from the Dodge estate.

Yes I quite disappointed with the ending of the book as it just kind of left it open whether or not they were still fighting because of course by now they could have a dna test and clear this up. I don't even know if Pat is still alive now and have tried to find out. They did say in the book that she was supposedly granted a look at her birth certificate but it was very disappointing and had things erased and falsehoods in it. Yes it was never once mentioned in the book (and it was pretty much a biography) that her name was Pat. It said her adopted name was Lucille and if she is indeed John Dodge's daughter it said both twins were named Frances. One comment I found almost comical was when after Frances Dodge ("Pat's" possible twin sister) passed away her daughter reportedly was having a heated argument with Frances' widower and was heard saying "you'll never get the money, I'll give it to her twin before you get it." I don't know if thats 100% fact but interesting nonetheless.

As far as the other cases you mentioned JS I would also love to know any updates as well. I've had a little luck with some of the cases with calling or emailing the Sheriff's Dept. to get a progress report. You never know sometimes they reply back and other times you never hear anything. If you know any of the counties and states involved let me know and I can try. Also I thought you had some credible info about Glen Consagra and the status of his case.

I did a pretty extensive internet search for things related to the Pat Mealbach case awhile back that turned up...absoutely nothing! I figured since the Dodge family was so famous there would have been SOMETHING, but there was zilch! Actually, I did come across a web page that listed the book (probably amazon), but other than that nothing.

Originially I believe Pat's claims, but now I"m trending towards "toss-up" status.

Default Interesting article about Frances Mealbach

I was glad to come across this. It is ghost written by her daughter Sharon in Frances' words. I couldn't find a date but it states Frances is now 92 and living in Dearborn. Apparently nothing else ever materialized in her case after she was granted access to her birth and adoption records. It appears at the bottom there may even be a way to get a message to her. A lengthy but very interesting read:

The case of Kyra Cook is a fascinating one. I saw this one the other night on the DVD compilation. I'm not sure if the guy that dropped her off at the police station was really a "good Samiritan". I think maybe he was a witness possibly to whatever happened to Kyra if not directly involved somehow. I always wonder though if her memory has ever returned...

Your post got me thinking. I wonder if the "good Samaritan" was a hit and run driver who wanted to do the right thing in getting her help, but still wanted to dodge responsibility.

I noticed on that above link that Frances' son Tom died in September of this year of lung cancer.
