My Digital Guide For Brady Bunch is Screwed Up! (Anybody Else?)

Guys,

My cable provider's digital guide has incorrect listings for The Brady Bunch. (Time Warner) They seem to be about 1-2 days behind in promoting an episode that previously aired. For instance, today at 11:30 am (CST) they promoted "Love and the Older Man" and the actual episode was "Greg Gets Grounded." Anyone else having this issue?

hey jack i have a question about the Brady Bunch Special Packaging For Complete Series Set will the box set have all of the seasons from the first to the last seasons , and do you think paramount will fix up some of the minor editing diolage that has not been seen, anyway i hope they do as well as add the original commerical bumbers in your mind what is it that paramount has to really fix up pertainning to miner editing

Yes, here in SW Florida, Comcast digital hasn't had the correct BB descriptions in a long time. I hadn't noticed how far off they were in terms of days, but the description given is never the correct one.

But since I bought the whole series the other day, that's ok!

Sorry that I haven't gotten back to you sooner as you had some questions about cuts/alterations in a few episodes. Will answer those soon inside a reply of that post. (I hope!)

As for The Complete Season Boxset, I had a discussion with some other BB authorities on the minor edits that are already well documented:

a. Fill in squares gone on all Vacation episodes, "Greg Gets Grounded", and "Love and the Older Man."

b. About 15-20 secs of dialogue missing from "Pass The Tabu"

I found out that Paramount DOES THEIR OWN EDITING of disks "In House." Other studios will often send away or bring in special DVD restoration teams to help with the DVD process. Paramount does not do that. I am sure that this is done for them to save money.

Because of this, unfortunately I would NOT expect the above edits to be corrected. (I hope I am wrong!) But I honestly don't THINK there has been an outpouring of complaints about the edits enough for Paramount to go back and reburn the disks for the box set.

I heard that there will be a few bonus episodes from Brady Specials and SELECTED episodes from "The Brady Kids" cartoon.

I have told people that if they don't have the single series DVD's, they should go to a Best Buy, Sam's Club, or Walmart and get the whole series in one shot! DON'T just not get the set because of the minor edits assuming that they aren't corrected for the box set. You're still getting 96% of the show uncu,t and the ONLY actual dialogue that is cut is 15-20 seconds off of "Pass The Tabu" (Part 2: Hawaii episodes.)

Brady fans like yourself should get the boxset because you would probably save about $25-$40 compared to getting the seasons on DVD individually. If however, customers already have all 5 seasons on DVD, I would say don't get the boxset, because the minor edits I don't think are gonna be corrected.
