Default TV Land's "Love and the Older Man" Print?

As DVD owners of the series are aware,

This is the episode where the fill-in squares have been cut out on the DVD, but remain in syndicated/TV Land's print. Because I am too lazy to did out my DVD, I noticed that the fill in squares occur with Mike and Carol downstairs in the living room, they talk about how typical tean romance problems can be and the squares fill in, than the go-cart chasing Alice tag.

I seem to recall an end sequence in the girls' room, followed by what should be the fill in squares, and the go-cart tag scene. I do know that TV Land completely omits one of Marcia's fantasy dreams about Dr. Vogel. But what else is missing?

Sorry that I can't do my usual Brady Bunch episode break down for this one, but it's not one of my favorite episodes and is harder to remember the smaller details.

Thanks,

Jack

Hi Studd,

Really busy with personal stuff so it might be awhile. I have to watch those because I can't remember what was cut off the top of my head.

On the DVD, LOVE AND THE OLDER MAN looks complete except for the missing fill in squares. I don't think they omitted any scenes. The two episodes I still question are THE HONEYMOON and GREG GETS GROUNDED. I'm reasonably sure that there is a tag sequence for THE HONEYMOON, but it was omitted from the DVD. With GREG GETS GROUNDED, it's possible that the episode got edited wrong and the fill in squares were put in at the very end of the episode instead of the part when the frog jumps on the pizza and Greg ad-libs his lines. I suspect that the placing of the squares is correct and the tag sequence is cut, not sure though. We already know about the 20 seconds cut from PASS THE TABU.

When the new box set comes out, I'll be curious to find out if they corrected the minor edits that appear on those few episodes in the season sets. Let us know Jack if you find anything out.

Is it possible that these shows were edited to conform to an original broadcast? I say this because the squares on Love and the Older Man have never been cut for syndication, have always looked fine. Paramount has restored single shots for episodes. They must have gone over these with a fine tooth comb. Maybe things were changed for the initial syndication.
