You bring up a very good topic. This certainly requires careful thought but as a quick comment I would say I always thought that some of the lines that were said in the Honeeymooners were definitely risque.

How about the scene in the color episode, "MEXICAN HAT TRICK" where they are in a Mexican gift shop and Ralph tries on a sombrerro. He puts it on and says to Ed, "Well Norton, what do you think...do I look like a gay caballero?" Norton's reply: "I dunno, let me see you walk!". Granted that was 1969, but the word "gay" wasn't being used much in prime time TV and that's one that they got away with too! I guess Gleason had no problem going with it.

I never saw that episode but by your description it sounds very funny.
