Default Eddie Murphy's Next Film: Norbit

I've been seeing a ton of ads on the walls in my metro station for Eddie Murphy's new movie Norbit, so I watched the trailer for it today and it looks really hilarious - I'm so glad to see Eddie back doing a really big comedy again. Anybody else seen the trailer? Think it looks good?

Eddie Murphy is, still and hands down, the funniest guy working in movies today. I grew up on the Beverly Hills Cop movies, and I loved the Nutty Professor. This looks awesome.

The official site has some good looking images (I LOVE all the pictures of the extra-large woman she cracks me up! - and a, wait for it, rib toss game. Hee.

I can't wait to see this!

Eh. I'm not a fan of Murphy's comedy stuff - at least not his latest stuff. He was fantastic in Dreamgirls and its kind of a step down.

He had a beauty of a thing with Dreamgirls and he's screwing it up already.I wonder if his confrontation with Jamie Foxx really happened.

I haven't seen Dreamgirls yet but I really want to, maybe I can squee it in either this weekend or next. But, yeah, I've heard great things about Eddie's performance in it.

Mostly, I'm excited that Norbit looks like a good, fun comedy. I've been seeing a lot of superserious movies lately, and sometimes, you just need to a good comedy because you need to laugh.

If you think the trailer is funny, try the gag reel video on the Norbit MySpace page. It's funny, and man, it looks like Eddie had fun making this!

Norbit looks ******** and i won't be seeing it. I see Eddie is continuing to make wack movies. He makes a good movie every now and then like Life, Daddy Day Care, Dreamgirls. I don't know why he's working on another Beverly Hills Cop movie. He need to leave that alone. 3 of them are enough.

Oh, isaiah, I think the fact that Eddie does such a wide range of kinds of movies (from comedies to more serious pieces like Dreamgirls) means that he's just that good of an actor, that he can play all kinds of types and characters. I think he'll keep it fresh, so that it won't feel tired or boring.
