In my opinion, The Jeffersons. Who would have thought that this show derived from All in the Family?

Another All in the Family spin-off that I thought was pretty bad was Archie's Place, they should have cancelled the show when Jean Stapleton left the series. Archie was simply not funny without his Edith!

Frasier and Mork & Mindy are too terrible spinoffs. Where as Rhoda, Maude and The Jeffersons are three great examples of spinoffs being better then the parent shows, The Mary Tyler Moore Show and All in the Family.

Red face Worst Sitcom Spinoff

I loved Chachi, and I loved Joanie, but boy, was
"Joanie Loves Chachi" a stinky show, or what?!

Maybe you didn't like the sugary sweet "Mare", but "The MTM Show" was a fantastic ensamble show with chemistry rarely seen. I am wild about Valerie Harper, but I think the other characters dragged down "Rhoda".

Good Times would have to be my choice. It was just too forced, especially that doofus that played JJ, the family ****** (LOL)

I don't know if "The Ropers" (spun off from "3's Company") counts as long running. It ran for a little more than one season. If so, it would get my vote.

There are many short running spinoffs that didn't measure up, however.

the Jeffersons has to be the worst long running spin off. i never got it. really unfunny and bland. just horrid.
meanwhile the ropers is a wonderful show, as was the other threes company spin off, threes a crowd. does anyone know if tv land or nick at night, or anyone is planning on running these shows. i miss them.
i think think there should be a new cable network just for threes company and it's spin offs. i would never stop watching. i would never go to work. god how i love that show.....
