What Was The Name of the "Andy" Special When Andy and Helen Get Married? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hi everyone.

My family has been a fan of this show for years. But I'm curious about something. They did a special a long time ago where Andy and Helen get married, yipe, lol, I never cared much for Helen too much. Anyway, Thelma Lou returns as does Barney, and we find out she's divorced. Does anyone remember the name of this? It's been bugging me for sometime.

Actually, Andy and Helen got married on the first episode of Mayberry RFD. You have conflated that with The TV movie Return to Mayberry from 1986, I think. I don't remember much about RtM, but Thel is in it.

like sar said they got married on the first Mayberry RFD. Barney and Thelma Lou got married on Return to Mayberry.

I have RETURN TO MAYBERRY on VHS-I recorded it when it first aired, on NBC. That was one of the better reunion movies.

They were going to make a sequel to it, but, sadly they never did because they couldn't get the cast back again.
