I have to say, I am a bit surprised by that decision. I guess Marty will have to make it over the hump one day. lol

I'm suprised too, after his misuse of timeouts that he had if I was the owner he would have been gone. I think the Chargers win that game if they had a timeout.

He was 14-2, but his problem isn't making the playoffs, it is winning them.

They can go 16-0 and it doesn't mean a damn if they can't win even one playoff game.

What is going to be different about next year compared to the countless others that Schottenheimer coached?
What points to him taking the team through the playoffs?

He's had a lot of tough luck in the playoffs. Who can forget those Browns games against the Broncos. You can't fire a coach who just went 14-2. One of these years his team is going to go further in the playoffs and possibly win a Super Bowl.

I'm glad Marty's coming back. He is a class act. He's just had a lot of bad luck in the playoffs and yea he did make a few bad calls. It's hard to fire someone who went 14-2 during the season. Their are a lot of teams that would take that. Plus they didn't lose to a bad team. They lost to the Patriots.
