Question Maude Vs. Laverne & Shirley

Which spin-off do you tend to like better: Laverne & Shirley or Maude? and why?

Cool

I like Laverne & Shirley a lot, in fact, it is one of my favorite shows. This comedy was (in my opinion) based on the wild and wacky adventures of Lucy Carmichael and Vivian Bagley (roommates in their 40's/50's with their children) from The Lucy Show. Laverne & Shirley is a lot like The Lucy Show for two reasons: female-buddies and physical comedy. The situations that Laverne & Shirley got into were often the same situations Lucy & Viv got into except this time the women (L&S) were practically in their young adulthood.
And for the other show: Maude. I don't like that particular "All in the Family" spin-off because it was simply too controversial and not funny. It lacked physical comedy and it wasn't that humorous. Besides I didn't like her looks that well nor her raspy voice. Her hair was awful and she looked like an old hag. I like to see something beautiful that sounds pretty which isn't Maude.
In conclusion, I like Laverne & Shirley a whole lot better than Maude for several reasons as you can see.

Note: I am sorry if you find this particular post offense but those are my thoughts of each show. You don't have to like my thoughts but I do ask you to respect them. I'll do the same.

Laverne and Shirley was alot better then Maude. I thought that Laverne and Shirley's first season or two weren't that funny really, but it got better as the years went on...and Maude was only good in it's first season.

Laverne & Shirley was hands down the better spin-off.

Maude is the better spinoff. I disagree with those who say it wasn't funny. I found it to be hilarious. The difference between the two was that Laverne & Shirley's trademark was physical comedy, Maude on the other hand used it to a lesser degree. Also, Laverne & Shirley appeals to a wider audience then does Maude. Maude deals with more controversial subjects that is intended for mature audiences.

As for Maude's looks, that's something that made the show funny. Seeing Maude give Walter one of her "looks," one can not help but laugh. Personally, Maude is better then All in the Family anyday.

On the other hand, The Jeffersons is really a better spinoff then both Laverne & Shirley and Maude.

I luv both shows! But I think you can't compare them, since they were geared to different audiences. IMO, "Maude" was underated.
