I can think of some sitcoms that used both videotape and film in it. Newhart did it and it looked strange at the beginning compared to the rest of them. Also in Rhoda, I remember seeing some real clear picture rather than some of them that had that old film quality. All in the Family was all videotape, in fact the first videotaped series on the air.

I believe "All in the Family" was the first videotaped sitcom, but quite a few variety series (like "Carol Burnett") and soap operas (like "Dark Shadows") were using videotape in the 60s.
