Default "The Little Chill"

I just got through watching the episode "The Little Chill" which features the return of Cindy, Sue Ann and Nancy. This was my second time seeing the episode. I saw it for the first time about a year ago. Since it wasn't an episode that I taped last year, I was never able to rewatch it until today. This time around I made sure to tape it.

When I saw "The Little Chill" a year ago I didn't much like it because I had no idea who Cindy, Sue Ann and Nancy were at that point. So like Jo in the episode, I really felt out of the loop. This time around being a big fan of the first season I get much more out of the episode and I would rank it as one of my favorites.

I felt so bad for Jo in this episode. You could tell that she felt left out. And the scene between Jo and Beverly Ann on the couch is really touching. However, as much as I enjoyed the "The Little Chill" there is one major mistake in it. The episode is written in a way that makes it seem like Jo never meet Cindy, Sue Ann and Nancy. And the first year girls act as if they never meet Jo. How can this be? During seasons two and three we clearly see Jo interacting with the first season girls. In "Front Page", Cindy is even in the same journalism class as Jo. True, Jo would not know the first season girls as well as Blair, Natalie and Tootle, but she would still know them.

To all the guys out there. Didn't Cindy, Sue Ann and Nancy look gorgeous in the episode? They really turned into beautiful young women. Sue Ann really had a sexy pair of legs on her in "The Little Chill".

Natalie: Where'd you get the beer?
Jo: I got the beer.

Tootie: We have to do something to help Mrs. Garrett!
Jo: *slaps Tootie on the hand, sorta hard*
Jo: why? ( in a sleep voice)

The whole premise of that episode is stupid, Jo interacted with Sue Ann, Cindy and Nancy several times.

"The Gossip" all three girls are involved in this episode. Jo even warns Blair about stealing Nancy's "Roger". All three girls are seen helping Totie with her puishment so they could all go to a NYC Museum together.

"Sex Symbol" all three girls are involved in this episode where Natalite is given a "Bad" reputation.

"Front Page" Sue Ann and Cindy are in Jo's journalism class. They both are seen asking Jo questions about her article.

I agree that all three girls were gorgeous. Especially Sue Ann (Julie Piekarsky) They should have never fired them from the original series.

I thought Cindy was quite beautiful. It was fun to see them again. I wouldn't have minded if they had kept Cindy. I liked her.

There was no good reason why the other girls could not have stayed on as recurring characters. They were always using bit players for extras and one-liners, so why not have the other girls? I always thought they should have brought them back with Blair and Jo for graduation.

This is definately one thing i noticed right off the bat and it bothered me a lot as well. Everyone is right, they have had tons of interactions, so no need to over-beat that fact. And i too agree that they should have used the 1st season girls much more than they did... there was history there, and just becuase htey were not the stars of the show anymore was no need to push them off completely. By the time the 4th season rolled around, i believe they only appeared in one or two episodes and one of htem being "The Source"... great idea of feeling they should have been back for graduation, i never thought of that... and it would have been a great way to finalize their splitting up going to seperate colleges. To be quite honest, the 4th season never really played up their last year at eastland like they should have... or hte senior pressures/slacking off-ness.... there wasn't anythign special for them as seniors or anything... and they talk about this senior prank thing, which we never saw or heard of until it was referenced with natalie in big fish/little fish. So weird.... anyways, i am done babbling!

I remember that too but there should have been a little more. I with that the writers had taken the time to look back at the previous episodes from the early years.
