This is a very interesting UFO incident which was posted on YouTube. Here's the story as it appeared on Unsolved Mysteries.
On 20 May 1967, Stephen Michalak was out looking at rocks near Falcon Lake in Canada, when he noticed the geese were flocking about as if they had been disturbed. He then saw what he described as 2 cigarette shaped objects flying around behind the trees. One of the objects stayed airborne, while the other actually landed nearby. After a few moments, the door of the craft began to open. Thinking it was a group of Americans, he offered to help them. When he got no response in English, he tried speaking in Russian, then Polish, then German. When he approached the open door, he claimed the light was so bright that he had to snap down the visor on his safety goggles. After a few moments, the door suddenly shut. The craft began to rotate counterclockwise and the exhaust set his shirt on fire. He then decided to leave. As he was leaving, he felt unwell and was throwing up. When Stephen tried to check his compass, he said the needle went haywire. Disoriented, he arrived home 9 hours later. When doctors examined Michalak, they diagnosed him with burns, however what they couldn't diagnose, was the formation of burn spots on his abdomen which were in exact formation as the vents that appeared on the craft. Stephen was soon released from hospital but the symptoms worsened. He claimed the nausea worsened, and his body began to give out a sulfuric stench which lasted for weeks. Stephen soon tested negative for radiation poisoning. 6 weeks after the indicent, Stephen and a friend went back to look for the site. After a few hours they found a burnt out circle with a radius of 15 ft. They also noticed some of the trees had branches burnt out. Soon after, Stephen's burns, which appeared to be healing, soon flared up again. He claims the nausea and burn symptoms would return every 3 months. |
