Default What do women find attractive in men?

I was discussing this with a friend of mine earlier today. For all the women on the site, what do you find attractive in males? What would your Mr. Right look like and what would his characteristics be?

Well, I've got a friend who just about has all the characteristics I'm looking for in a mate.

He is good to me.
Attractive to me.
Knows what he wants in his life.
Has a macho side, but also has a caring side.
Can work with his hands and also do 'feminine' things (sew, cook, etc)
Well-read.
Intelligent. Very intelligent.

As for looks, I seem to end up with guys who have olive skin, dark eyes and dark (short) hair. So it's very likely my future mate, whoever he may be, will have all of these characteristics.

Well, for me personally, I LOVE a guy with a sense of humor. I think that is one of the most important qualities to have--and I like a guy who is naturally funny, not trying too hard to be funny. I like a guy who can make me laugh, and also appreciate the fact that I can be random and funny as well (I guess that would fall under the 'open-minded' trait! I like open-minded guys as well).

Also, I like for him to be kind and sensitive to others (and me!) There's nothing I hate more than an arrogant, insensitive guy who only cares about himself. I like someone who is respectful and kind (but not a pushover). I'm not in to uberly macho guys--I kind of like the funny, sensitive, and creative types (you know, guys who like music, art, movies, etc). It helps to have common interests. I like 'homebodies' more than hardcore party types.

And last, but not least, I also like someone who is HONEST! Don't feed me any lies about your life. I can't stand that (not just in a boyfriend, but people in general).

That's about it, really Physically, I've always gone for tall, slightly built, clean-shaven dark-haired guys, but I've dated blondes before. When it comes down to it, the hair color isn't as important as the personality itself. I like a guy with a quirky personality!

Ok...I'll agree...there are two different aspects.

Physically, for me, it's eyes and good calves.

But, more importantly, is personality. A sense of humor and wit; intelligence; a sense of empathy; treating me with respect

Well I think I have my Mr. Right already, But what I find attractive in my mate is the ability to make me laugh that's most important. Also who can be compassionate and to actually hold an intellectual conversation, He's able to think outside the box, hard worker. And he’s able to hold me up when I’m down

Now physically...Taller than me, great eyes, nice hands, great teeth LOL

Pretty eyes
Awesome hair
Great sense of humor
Tall
Manly [Not a pig, though. He has to have some sort of an emotional side, but not TOO emotional. Sometimes you have to suck it up, be a man, and "walk it off".]
Deep voice
Good taste in music
Outgoing
Intelligent. Very intelligent.
Musical
Understanding
Honest

I forgot to throw that in my previous post... I agree with all that, too.

Well, the same thing millions of women want...Smart, Not an Arrogant Ass, etc.

I basically like a guy who can put up with me and won't make fun of my interests, quirks, etc. I also have no use for a guy who only thinks about getting some ass and drinking his pathetic life away. Those kinds of guys can all die. A shoulder to cry on is essential for someone who freakin cries nonstop like me. Has to get along with my parents. Not a smoker. Can give me space. Has a clue what's going on in life. Good driver. lol

I dunno...other stuff too. I have a great guy right now, and he's those things, so I'm happy. And surprisingly he is too....
