I think it was the early seventies and I vaguely remember a sitcom that had the theme music sunshine on my shouler. It started (I think) with a man washing in a rain barrel. Please someone tell me what this show is. It has been driving me crazy for a long time! email me @ msgrinch30@aol.com thanks!!

I think this show was actually called "Sunshine." I do remember a show about a man coping with the loss of his wife (yes, a sitcom), and apparently her favorite song was the John Denver tune, hence the theme. Or maybe I am hallucinating.

DJBC is right, it was called Sunshine. On NBC, from March 6 1975 to June 19, 1975. Based on a CBS TV movie of the same name, which aired on November 9, 1973, with most of the same cast.

NBC even made a reunion TV-movie for this show in 1977, called "Sunshine Christmas". This movie used to be rerun pretty often in the 80s. Billy Mumy from "Lost in Space" co-starred in the series, BTW. The daughter's name on the series was Jill. In the original TV movie, the mother was dying of cancer, and she loved country music (the theme was sung by John Denver).
