the Trudy Mystery... - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I know that I haven't seen ALL of the episodes, but I have seen the majority of them (currently watching another marathon faithfully) - how much information has actually been revealed about Trudy's murder over the curse of the series?

- we know that the car bomb WAS actually intended for Trudy, and NOT Monk

- Warrick Tennyson planted the car bomb, he was hired to kill Trudy by "a six fingered man."

- in "MR. MONK AND MRS. MONK" it was revealed that she had said that "I was targeted by an extremist group." and that had something to do with the story she was working on about corruption in the local dockworkers’ union - does it have anything to do with the murder?

- Trudy was involved in a lawsuit with Dale "the Whale" Biederbeck, and he was the one that provided Monk with Warrick Tennyson's name; what was his involvement, and/or how did he come by this information?

- Her last words to a paramedic were "bread and butter," - a message to Adrian that she would never leave him, I don't suppose that had anything to do with her killers could it?

any other info I'm missing? I remember an episode where Monk is in the garage where the car bomb went off, i wonder if there were any other clues that were shown but not "revealed"

When i was watching the recent marathon and they played the old episode with Tim Curry, I kinda was concerned that I had missed something 'cause I couldn't remember too much advancement in the mystery in last season....?

I have all 4 seasons out on dvd and have watched all episodes from season 5 (so I have seen every ep) and that looks to be all the info on the case. My brother and I first started watching the show in the beginning of season 2. We both agree that a fitting finale (this show could go for 8 seasons) would be a 2 hour show where Monk finally solves Trudy's murder and then all his phoebias go away and he gets his spot back on the force.

Yeah, my Mom thinks that the finale will be with Monk solving Trudy's case. It's gonna be really bittersweet.

I hope they do solve the case at the end. That's what the whole build-up of the series is about. You're right. It will definitely be bittersweet!
