TV Land likes the newer sitcoms. They are slowly removing the True classic sitcoms like Father Knows Best and replacing them with shows like Scrubs and Reality. They say they are no longer a classic TV network but will keep a few around. Most people have given up begging for the true classic's to be returned and TVL has stated they are moving in a new direction. I stopped requesting shows after 2 years on the board, can't believe I wasted that much time.

I wasted a few years on the TV Land Board too. I still have a hard time believing the new shows there are the best ratings they ever had. I don't want to see any classic shows there, they just butcher what few they have left. What I would like to see, is a network that would carry nothing but 50's and 60's shows in their entirety, including the commercials. The commercials in the 50's didn't total more than 4 minutes to the half hour. Of course, without sponsors, it would have to be a paid cable channel, but for great shows, I'd gladly pay it.

That would be really cool! It's a shame that even TV Land has retorted to showing "new" shows instead of the classic old ones! I would pay for this too, if the commercials were included and it was all classic shows!

That sucks, considering that was the whole point of having TV land in the first place. There's still a market for these classic shows, perhaps another channel should be set up for these shows.

Amen! If you've ever seen one of these old shows with commercials, it is SO cool! They have the brought to you by's, etc. ON FKB, they have Robert Young telling you what's coming up on the next program (in the meantime, keep using those products from Scott Paper Co. Good night!)
