Arrow Mamma Mia!

Yesterday I found out that "Mamma Mia" is coming to my city on tour! I wanna check it out, but the seats range from $40-70 USD. I will think about it, though.

Here's the URL for your nearest location, if you guys also wanna check it out:

http://www.mamma-mia.com/tickets.asp?sec=tickets

Anyone else see this show before? How is it? Did you like it? How long is it? I saw a mini Flash clip, and it looks really nice. I've never been to a broadway show, so I will really think about it for the price. I wanna see it, but...you know...the price. Any recommendations?

I haven't seen it yet, either, but I'm planning to see it, too!! It's coming to Fla. in March & April. I haven't gotten my tickets yet, but I will!!

Unfortunately as far as the price, that's the norm. It's still alot cheaper than concerts!! If you don't know anybody in the cast, and you're just going for the show, get the $40 tickets. Those kind of shows usually only play in a theater, and I found that any seat is a good seat in a venue like that.

"Mamma Mia" is actually the title of one of Swedish supergroup ABBA's hit songs from the 70s, as the play is based on their music.

I saw this play in my city in early 2001, it is a very upbeat play and most of ABBA's hits are performed by the cast. The story is not that great but what makes the play is the music. I remember much of the audience standing and singing along to the music. The play is a must see if you are a fan of ABBA or if you just want to have a good time.

If you are worried about the price check to see if there are weekday or weekend matinee showings, this can save you some money.

I've seen the play 3 times, and it's really great. I love the music.

One of my friends (who is absolutely in love with ABBA) saw it this past summer and really loved it.

...I'm certain if he sees this thread, he'll have a comment or two on here lol

I saw it like a month ago. Basically I loved it. It's super cheesy and..kind of weird, but I seriously loved it a lot. the ABBA nerd inside of me was squealing with delight. Let me tell you.

One of my friends got free tickets, so we were in, literally, the very last row of the balcony. And they weren't very bad seats at all.

Yeah I saw the thread! LOL. I saw Mamma Mia! over the summer and was amazed! It was the best musical I've ever seen. Even though I'm obsessed with ABBA, leaving that aside, I LOVED this musical. You should go see it!

It was a great night. I warned the people in front of me that I might be sining every now an again. They didn't mind and I ended up sining every number with the cast. Afterward, I went backstage and met everyone and they signed my programme. It was an awesome show and the cast was great!

Thanks for your input, everyone. I do love ABBA's music (what Ace of Base doesn't? ), so this is going to be exciting! I noticed there are few U.S. cities they are touring, and I am pleased they're coming to mine. Woohoo!! I am booking for the afternoon show on the 28th of January. I can't wait!

I am going to order the tickets locally after work today. My local university arena's website sucks. They don't use SSL connection, so I will refuse to order online.

Woohoo!!! I already purchased my ticket!!!! The cheapest ones I could find was for $45 USD at the middle of the Balcony section. Do people in these musicals generally leave early for me to move more upfront?

Well, I can dream, can't I???

I had SUCH a blast watching and experiencing "Mamma Mia!" on Sunday, the 28th. I really liked the story. Hehe...it was TOO cute, and I thought those ABBA songs were well-fitting.

The funny thing was that I noticed that there were a lot of older people....like elderly people. Is that quite common for "Mamma Mia!?" I guess I always pictured the majority of the group to be younger. Hmmmm.... Was that common for those of you who have seen this show?

I overheard an elderly lady say to her friend, "Oh, I didn't know these songs were from the 70s." LOL....I laughed within myself. Muahahahaha....That was TOO damn funny. She must not be very familiar with ABBA, I take it.
