Default Season 9 and Nick@Nite - what's the point?

What is the point of Nick@Nite playing Season 09 of "Roseanne" at all? Certain episodes and even chunks of the season are skipped entirely and they are played out of order sometimes. I know that the season was not one of their best, but why not play the entire thing?

I know that the Oxygen channel plays it in it's entirety. I wonder why N@N doesn't?

I know they dont air the train episode because of 9/11..there really isn't that much of an excuse for the rest though, i guess they just rushed to the first season eps because they were supposed to air the series finale last night but they didnt, they just skipped to a first season ep and a later season ep. weird.

Ehh... Season 9 probably doesn't get good ratings. Probably nothing more than that.

this is just random information:
but I beleive for a while seasons 9 wasn't even available for syndication because it was thought that it just wasn't a good season and changed the whole concept of the show.

Well, I can kind of see the logic in not airing the 'terrorist' episode in this day and age (Oxygen does though), but Roseanne mentions the events in an episode aired after that so it is a bit confusing for the person that is watching the episodes for the first time. Because they omit the holiday episodes most of the year, a first-time watcher would not understand how Bev is suddenly gay or how Jackie found out about Dan seeing his mother's nurse.

I suppose that (as some of the posts mentioned above) because Season 09 was not very good (and I am being VERY generous when I say that as most of the worst episodes of 'Roseanne' are featured in Season 09), I could see why not too much of an effort is made (especially concerning syndication rights and $$$) to show all of those episodes. Too bad for the first-time viewer though.

I ordered the complete series on DVD and just started watching Season 9, I'm holding my breath and diving in here.. Have only seen 5-6 of this season's episodes before.

Well I marathoned those DVDs and finished the last episode about half an hour ago. I'm actually mildly amused, the only episodes I didn't like was the 2 parter about Roseanne trying to make a deal with the Wellman guy...

Even "Roseambo" was better then I thought it would be after what I heard, I laughed pretty freakin' hard at the episode, it was so corny!

This can sometimes drive me crazy too. I love the two-part episode when they go to Disneyworld and a lot of times they skip both episodes. The last time it was on they just played the first episode and skipped the second when they are actually at DW.

I don't mean to correct you, but it has noting to do with September 11th. N@N won't air "Roseambo" because of the whole tampon fighting scene. It wouldn't be very "family" of them.....But they do show the pot episode???? And they let Roseanne say "Dyke."...I don't get it.

Weird. I also flipped past the channel last night briefly where they showed the big fight episode, in which Dan calls her a "controlling BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTCH!!!!!!" They seemed to have no problem showing that.

Is that really why? I guess that makes sense why Oxygen will show it then..
