Celebrating 10 Years Of The Monkees Film & TV Vault (1997—2007)!

On the very afternoon of Friday, October 24, 1997, I, Aaron Handy III, ventured into a computer lab in Delgado Community College, with a Power Macintosh disk containing ClarisWorks v2.0 files of Monkees film and TV data and a dream. Armed with a free account @ Tripod, I took keyboard in hand and gave life to The Monkees Film & TV Vault, a Monkees fan page (loosely patterned after Louis Colli's The Monkees Music Vault) which is a comprehensive guide to The Monkees' filmed work, on TV and the big screen, the product of 10+ long years' worth of research, and (for my money) the first-ever fully detailed account of The Monkees' film and television history.

Man...where has all the time gone? An entire decade seems to have flown on by faster than the speed of Monkeemen. The Monkees Film & TV Vault's Aluminum Anniversary will be a yearlong celebration, and everyone's invited! In observation of this rather auspicious event, the font color and body background on the front page of The MF&TVV (in addition to the special MF&TVV 10th Anniversary masthead) is reverted back to what it looked like when it first appeared, and will remain so throughout the better part of the year 2007. (How fitting that The MF&TVV be born on the 31st anniversary of a first-run NBC Monkees airdate: that for Episode No. 7, “The Monkees In A Ghost Town”.)
