Angry Give Us Fans Some Respect

I'm getting tired of the games the TV DVD producers play with us. They sell incomplete episodes, release seasons whenever they want to, skimp on packaging, withhold many shows we want to see and continue to give less for more.

If a show has been over for 20 or 30 years, there is no reason that they can't produce and release complete footage. Period. Every show has master copies lying around somewhere. To cut out even one line of a show is unfair to a true fan and consumer. What do they gain by withholding footage on a DVD? There is plenty of space on a disc and no commercials to worry about.

They should release the complete boxed set first, instead of stringing us along, forcing us to buy one season at a time at intervals they determine. It could take years to obtain an entire series.

In some cases, they get people committed to collecting a series by purchasing the first few seasons, then they announce that they won't be releasing the rest of the series.

Watch out, next we'll be getting adds and promos on the DVD's, or commercial breaks. And we probably won't even be able to fast-forward.

I'm not a big fan of complete series being released in bulk because if there is a defect you may not notice it until after the date to return it, but there SHOULD be some sort of release schedule ironed out so we KNOW when the next season will be released. There is no reason to keep us totally in the dark. At least give us an IDEA!

I would buy What's Happening Now!! in a complete series set because it looks like Sony is going to stretch that one out as long as possible. It's been almost a year and a half since the release of Season 3 of WH!! and no sign of returning yet except on that bogus poll that makes no sense at all.

It's bad enough that we can't fast forward or skip over those damn FBI warnings on some dvds.
