Did you have a Letterman Jacket? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I lettered three times in Marching Band, but I never got the jacket. I think it looks kind of dumb to have a Band Letter. I was one of the only people not to get one in band so I kind of regreted it. This year I wasn't in the Marching Band because I was kind of sick of it so it worked out not getting one. Just wondering who lettered and inone and if you got the jacket to go along with it.

I did in middle school. I have a ton of letters from high school, but never felt the need to buy a letterman jacket. People here, girls especially, don't really wear them.

Yes I got one but I think I got to wear it for about 10 days before my girlfriend Hijacked it. Probably half of the football team had to get replica Jackets because our GF's stole ours.

In my school it seemed more of a status thing for the girls to have one, to most of us it was not that big a deal. You "lettered" for games played and our coach was pretty good about getting everyone into games until the playoffs. I am not positive but I think the whole team lettered for football.

Yeah, I did. I lettered in a couple of things, but never got the letter sewn onto my jacket.

No way. A, I thought it was a waste because there was no way in hell I would have worn it after HS, and B, our school colors are fugly. I got 4 letters (academics, drama, choir, and speech) and 4 or 5 bars (lettered again in the same thing), but my mom framed them instead.

I got an academic letter, but never had it put on a jacket.... Jonathan got it for football, and he had a jacket made up.
