Default Do Credit Card Companies tell you WHY YOU WERE APPROVED?

American Express approved me in 2006 and I always thought you had to be making a VERY VERY NICE SALARY to have an American Express Card since there is no set Credit Limit. I called today and the Customer Service Rep said she didn't have access to that-lol Anyone on here who have American Express? I was just so shocked I was approved

No, If you don't have any credit issuses then any credit card company will give you a credit card. I got an American Express card when I started college, that's when they get you, when your credit is clean and clear.

I think I got my first offer when I turned 18 also. That's how college kids end up with bad credit , When I got my first credit card I hardly used it.

yeah bad credit does leave after 7 days, unless the creditor sends your report over to another collections agency then they can keep it up that way to screw you.

That's how your credit gets screwed up at an early age. But when I was in High School I had a card that my parents got me in my name but on their account. Then when I started college they sent me my own personal card. After that every other week I was getting apps from Visa, Discover, Master Card.

So The fact that I get credit card applications in the mail all the time means that my credit is no longer bad?

BTW: I repsonded to your Jeffersons Question about Jenny's Thesis

Well having ONE credit card with No Credit Limit is enough for me-lol Why would anyone need another credit card if they have one with no Credit Limit?

Thats how I screwed my credit when I was in University, no job, student loan .... oh there is no way for you to pay us... no problem here is a Student Visa.

Took me 7 years to recover but in hindsight it was a very good learning experience. I rarely carry a balance and if I do it is not longer than a couple months. Credit card companies love to get you with the interest charges.

Why can't you SPEND MONEY when you go Shopping instead of Charging it? Unless you are saying you shop right before Pay day and then pay off the charge

Well I'm Salaried and I'm ashamed to say that I don't know when my pay day is

We just bought a house so we remolded the kitchen and 2 of our bathrooms so when we bought new cabinets and tile and flooring, I paid with my credit card. Also when I go shopping at the mall I'll pay with credit or debit. I never carry cash.
